Learn more about FXWeb!
FXWeb hosts the WebTracker service on multiple Pentium-class Linux machines, each handling nearly a million hits a day. We have felt that it is directly related to the free and robust Linux operating system that we are able to provide this service to so many people, and want to thank the Linux development groups for their efforts.
The Internet brings new challenges daily, and we are continually working on improving our services. The current version, WebTracker 2, will soon be upgraded, with completion forthcoming. What do we have to look forward to?
- More domains will be tracked. We hope to begin tracking of several new country domains. Countries not tracked seperately will be group by region.
- Tracking of total hits by date will be added! Find out how many hits you had on each of the last seven days.
- We will start allowing multiple pages within a site to be tracked. All pages will consolidate under a single user ID.
- Javascript-enhanced versions of WebTracker will be introduced, re-allowing search engine referral information to be available.
FXWeb will never introduce features that may impact a web surfer's privacy. We outright refuse to perform any logging of visitor email addresses, IP addresses, or hostnames throught the WebTracker statistic tracking service.
Several users have inquired, "What do we get out of it?". Through revenues generated by the advertisers on our site we are able to provide this service free of cost to 'small-time' webmasters that do not have the resources available to track their own statistics. Finally, remember that WebTracker never places any obligations on its users. We do not sell information regarding the statistics that we track, and will never sell any email address submitted to us. If at any time you feel that you have been treated unfairly, we want to know about it!
As always, we love to hear back from our users. While we may not be able to respond to every message that we receive, we do read them, and attempt to respond to any problems within a timely manner. Contact us at .
What everyone has been wondering...
The picture of the animal that you see in our logo has remained a mystery to many of our users; we have heard everything from a dog, to a bear, to a fox. If you're looking for the correct answer, it's a cheetah. I hear that foxes just don't make good trackers anyway.
